Northwest Nationals alum Sophie Reiser added to her long list of awards in 2008-09, as she became the first women’s soccer player in Columbia history to be named to a Soccer Buzz All-America team. A fourth team All-America selection, Reiser was also honored as the Northeast Region’s Player of the Year.

Reiser, a junior who was also named Ivy League Player of the Year and a first team NSCAA Academic All-American earlier this season, led the conference and ranked 10th in the nation in points per game at 2.06. She closed the year on a 13-game point scoring streak and scored career-bests in goals (12) and points (35), while tying her career-high in assists with 11.
