Diego Maradona

Diego Maradona has enthralled both fans and critics during the long span of his career. He debuted in professional football during 1975 and played his farewell match in November of 2001. Throughout a quarter of a century, Diego Armando Maradona has influenced a multitude of people including some of the top footballers today. Parallel to his brilliant skill, the Argentine soccer player has stirred global controversy of unmatched magnitude. Regardless of his addiction to cocaine, failed doping tests and his wile on-pitch actions, Diego Maradona is still regarded as the most skillful footballer of all time.
From a technical point of view, Maradona's match is yet to be born. He is a complete master of the ball and keeps it under his control at all times, even while running at full speed.

Diego Maradona's unsurpassed skill gives him the ability to be unpredictable and change direction at any given time. Very few defenders can stop Diego Maradona without committing fouls, a fact, which has caused him dearly over the years. One of Diego's less obvious talents is his field intelligence and vision. He weights poorly positioned defenders and goes around them in an instant. Diego's vision is also remarkable. His passing is extremely accurate and he can unexpectedly execute it, in the midst of taking on a defender or two.
Diego Maradona has a very soft and accurate touch, but lacks the power of the more physical players. That is mostly caused by his scrawny stature. Heading is another ability, which Maradona rarely applies, due to his short height.
