Teddy Mitalas
Coach B94 Red

Teddy Mitalas is in his first season with Northwest Nationals and is the current coach of the Seattle Sounders Women. His Sounders teams took third place in the USL W-League in 2006 and 2007. They were fourth in 2008.

Mitalas has over 38 years of playing experience. He was a member of the Seattle Pacific University playoff teams in 1980 and 1981. He later played for FC Seattle and AEK of the Greek First Division.

He has coached at all levels of the game. He served as boys and girls coach at Shorecrest High School for 18 successful years and now is coaching the Holy Names girls and Kennedy boys. Mitalas-coached teams have advanced to the Washington State 4A final four 12 times and the state championship six times, including championships in 1992, 1993, 1995, 1996, and 2005. He coached at Edmonds Community College for six years, winning three NWAACC Championships. He was the USASA Far West Regional Sports Festival Coach in 2001, 2002, and 2003 and coached the Gold Medal Champions in 2001.

Currently Mitalas is the Director of Soccer Operations at Starfire Sports. He lives in Lynnwood with his wife Cindy and their three kids, Brandon, Alexandra, Christopher.
