Miranda Armstrong is in her second season with Northwest Nationals and is also an assistant at the University of Washington.
Born in Monroe, Armstrong played at Seattle University, where she led the team in assists and also played basketball. Earlier she was an all-area selection at Oak Harbor High School.
Armstrong went on to play locally for the Hibernian Saints, Sounders Women and Thomasville (Ga.) Dragons. She has coached youth in Virginia, Florida and Washington.
Prior to joining the Huskies’ staff, she served as Upper Iowa, Shenandoah and Florida State, which advanced to the NCAA finals in 2007. She also coaches the Lakeside JV boys.
